-------FLASHBACK-----WARNING-----
-------RAMBLING POST----READ AT YOUR OWN RISK-------
The wait is over, The day of graduation has arrived and passed.
Officially graduated from UBD (University of Brunei Darusalam)
It was a bitter sweet experience and I wished everyone was there especially a good friend of mine who is studying in Australia! We have graduated my dear friend! You know who you are.
This Post is for you ~
A medium length recap of the big day in my eyes ^_^
*cough*
Other people are welcome to read this post if they want too : P
Last Saturday (31-10-2009) was the day where my time of rushing late into lectures, doing assignments and researching on things which will be graded comes to an end.
I have graduated...somehow feeling sad and happy at the same time. Many things have happened within those years of studying and i am grateful for all of that because good or bad, there will always be a reason things happened the way it did.
Let me recap how that day was as it was not so long ago...

I woke up pretty early and got ready for the big day. (4 am!)
Luckily, my robe (a rental) was already attached with the hood. Everything was set. Brought an extra pair of shoes as well. So I hoped that I would not experience a wardrobe malfunction.

When I walked outside my house, The stars were still sparkling in the sky and it felt like the majority of people were still in bed enjoying their sleep. Even the cats were too tired to greet me. LOL

BUT
I assume the other 1200 plus people were awake getting ready for the next few hours which was considered "Our Day". Soon i was already driving down the highway with the car windows down on my way to pick up my "graduating buddy". I was listening to Jason Mraz, Boa and Owl city's Fire flies (I love it!).
It was kind of strange but relaxing to drive much slower than usual. I drove below the speed limit like 30- 40 km/hr while admiring the sky, the trees, the street lights as well as thinking how quiet and calm it was.
I reached my friend's place and waited for a bit. My buddy got in my car and the Sun was already up, the people were starting to wake up. I started to drive and the traffic jam was not building up. Then we finally reached the place where we were graduating ICC (A pretty big place).
We arrived much earlier compare to the last three days (A briefing as well as rehersals) but there were people who were waaaaaay earlier than us. It was roughly 6 ish and the parking was crazy full!
Had to cheat a bit to find parking...hahaha
I was happy and in awe as I could see so many people who wanted to see their love ones a.k.a graduates special day and many were in line for the shuttle bus.
The event had yet to start. My friend and I decided to walk up and we reached up to enter the building ...out of breath...Indication we needed to excercise more : P

When we entered the Multi Purpose Hall(MPH), almost 90% of the graduated were dressed!
We were in the minority of people but hey I was ok with that. I saw many people that I did not see for the last few months. We entered the main hall where the event was to be held..I just hoped that I was not caught on camera dozing off or something but If there is actual footage of me I would like to have it (awake I hope)!
His Majesty, Sultan Of Brunei came and he looked in great shape
(He was standing up for a long time- that even makes me respect him even more as he was pretty patient with us) and I felt grateful that he came for the event and gave ALL the graduates one by one their certificates personally. I of course was included and I almost forget to give my thanks to His Majesty but luckily the words came out right when I received my certificate. I was practicing my thank you the day before ^_^
After everybody was allowed to leave the hall, I managed to get TONS of pictures with my friends as well as classmates. Everyone will eventually go their separate ways but I hope we shall stay good friends...no matter what... I will bug them once in awhile! hahaha They have been warned in advance
Overall, it was an exciting event that did not last as long as I expected it.
I should mention that I did have a wardrobe malfunction! I left my extra pair of shoes in the car. My shoes were damaged so badly I could even stick my toes out if the side of the left shoe hahahaha...Wish I had a camera with me (This event happened even before receiving my certificate).
Luckily, I managed and the sad part was that I had to throw it away. I shall miss them T_T
The next day, My dad managed to get Borneo Bulletin's Sunday issue and I was like "woah" There was a picture of me! ( My name was not mentioned though, Had to squint abit to recognise it was me lol) but hey I am keeping that page!
Before I finish my post, it was on that Sunday as well that my sister celebrated her Birthday!...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTER!
I am glad you are my sister!
I hope you get a loooooooooooooot of customers,
Your food is Worth the money!
With that I end my post and wish everybody a GREAT day!!
